  2. Internet users There are almost 30 million Internet users in Spain, while there is over 230 million in the USA. In Alaska, 84% of the population uses the internet, which is around 600,000 people.However, 77% of the Georgia population uses the internet, which is equal to almost 7.5 million people.

  4. How cyber-bullying Victims felt Cyber-bullying and stalking Research by the University of Valencia (UV) in Spain, based on a study carried out in the region, shows that between 25 percent and 29 percent of all teenagers have been bullied via their mobile phone or the Internet.

Spain offers support to victims of online bullying • Provide psychological attention to children and adolescents who are suffering a low or intermediate level of bullying (which accounts for most cases) • Act as an intermediary between parents, schools and public institutions in the most severe cases of bullying.  • Give an effective response to cyber-bullying or bullying on the internet. • As a result of the concern in Spain about this issue, and the success of the anti-anorexia helpline, a new anti-bullying helpline has been created by Protegeles and presented at a press conference with the Spanish Ombudsman for Children.

Social Media in Spain • Tuenti is a Spanish, invitation-only social networking site. • The name comes from "tuenti[dad], which translates to your identity. • The site is targeted at the Spanish audience, and is currently accessible only to those who have been invited. • Tuenti features many tools common to social-networking sites. It allows users to set up a profile, upload photos, link videos, a chat application and such. • Many other utilities, such as the ability to create events, are also offered. • Unlike similar social networking sites Tuenti doesn’thave advertisements and pop-up.

  11. Censorship of internet • If we look at internet censorship in Spain, we can see that Spain is only slightly less free than the U.S. • The laws that deal with the freedom of information are lax. However there are some differences between the two countries. • Spain, like the U.S., does not heavily censor • Email • Search engines • Sexual images • Non terroristic criticism of the government • The major difference in the amount of freedom in the U.S. and Spain is the existence of the Sinde law.
