  2. School Hours / Attendance School Hours are: 8:15am– 3:15pm • 8:15 is tardy bell; you must sign your child in at the office • Must send in note when your child is absent

Daily Schedule 7:45 – 8:15: Arrival/Morning Work 8:15-8:30: CPES News 8:30 – 9:00: Calendar 9:00 - 9:30: Writing 9:30 – 10:15: Workshop 10:15 – 11:45: Specials 11:45 – 12:15: Read-Aloud 12:15 – 12:40: LUNCH 12:40 – 1:30: Math 1:30- 2:00: Physical Activity 2:00 – 2:15 Snack 2:15 – 3:00: Social Studies / Science 3:00- 3:15: Dismissal

  4. Crown Point 3’Rs Rules • Come to school prepared. • Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself. • Respect all people and property. • Walk through the building quietly and on the right side of the hall.

  5. Classroom Rules 1. Listen and follow directions the first time given. 2. Keep your hands and feet to yourself. 3. Respect your teachers, adults, friends, and leaning environment. 4. Demonstrate “3R’s” behavior throughout the school. 5. Always try your best!

  6. Consequences and Incentives Consequences 1.. Verbal warning. 2. Time out for 5 minutes. 3. Verbal warning. 4. Time out for 5 minutes, move to yellow. “Thinking Laps” during recess or silent lunch. 5. Time out 10 minutes removed from class, move to red. 6. Office visit, phone call home, referral. 7. Severe infractions: straight to #6. • Incentives • 1. Verbal praise • 2. Sticker book • 3. Treasure box • 4. Special privileges/activities • 5. “Shining Lion” Award given weekly • “Terrific Kid” awards given month

  14. Homework • Math and Literacy Homework will go home bi-weekly in Communication Folder. • Complete and turn-in inside the Communication Folder. • Please do not write on notebook paper behind the Calendar. • Nightly Reading is also part of your homework.

  15. FRED Books~Along with Nightly Homework~Begins October 1st • Families • Read • Every • Day Books • Each day students will bring a book home and reading log. Students and Parents should read together each night along with regular homework.

  17. Conferences • 1st Quarter Conferences will be held after the end of 1st Quarter (Oct. 29). • Please look for sign up sheet in Communication Folder as we get closer to the date. • This will give you information about how your child is progressing and about the report card.
