  2. What is thin film solar cell? • Solar cell: electrical device used to convert energy of light into electricity • Thin film solar cell/ thin-film photovoltaic cell : -part of solar cells - depositing one or more thin layers of photovoltaic material on a basement.

  3. Why it is important? • New technology which contribute to produce energy. • Depends on sun which is renewable source • Save environment clean beside producing needed energy. • Costs less than other solar cells

  4. How did it start? • It started as small strips powering hand-held calculators. • Large size, different kind building and structures • Large size, vehicle charging systems.
