MOUNTING • The REDMINI mounts on the theodolite.
SIGHTING • Obtain an approximate siting using the gun sight • Sight the prism with the siting telescope • Sight the center of the prism accurately
MEASURING • Turn the power on • Confirm that the REDMINI is operational • Press the MEAS. switch to start measurement • Press the MEAS. switch to end measurement • Turn the power off
TURN THE POWER ON • Press the power switch
TURN THE POWER ON • There will be a short audio tone and the display will look like: • This display will last for about 2 seconds.
TURN THE POWER ON • If the battery voltage is adequate the display will change to: • If the batter voltage is too low the display will change to:
CONFIRM THAT REDMINI IS READY • When the center of the reflecting prism is correctly sighted, the asterisk mark lights up on the display indicating that the light intensity is correct for a measurement. • The “F” indicates that the measurement will be made in feet.
START MEASUREMENT • Press the MEAS. switch to start measurement
START MEASUREMENT • A short audio tone is heard when the REDMINI starts the measurement • The triangle in the lower left corner flashes during measurement • When the measurement is completed, a short audio tone sounds and the value is displayed
END MEASUREMENT • The REDMINI will continue to take measurements until the MEAS. switch is pressed again • then the last measurement is displayed
TURN THE POWER OFF • Press the power switch
