Artemis. By: Ally Johnson. Introduction. Hi I am Artemis goddess of hunt and the moon, I am also a virgin goddess. I live on Mount Olympus and mostly spend my time in the woods. My parents are Leto and Zeus and my twin brother is Apollo.

Introduction • Hi I am Artemis goddess of hunt and the moon, I am also a virgin goddess. • I live on Mount Olympus and mostly spend my time in the woods. • My parents are Leto and Zeus and my twin brother is Apollo. • I am the protector of the wilderness places and animals. • I have a sweet side to me but if you mess with me I am very cold-hearted and unforgiving. • I can heal any injuries of other living beings and I can cast a spell on anyone I desire. • I can transform into another person, an animal, or an object.

Apollo • My brother Apollo and I together we are bringers of sudden death and disease. • Our friendship is stronger than any other of the known superhuman powers. • We both think alike, act alike, and have similar interests. • I was born on the island of Delos and my brother was born between an Olive tree. • Niobe teased my parents about only having two children so my mother had many more and my brother and I killed most of Niobe’s children. • I also helped my mother give birth to my brother.

Compared to Selene • Selene is also called Luna, with a Crescent moon on her head. • Selene is known for her countess love Affairs unlike Artemis who is a virgin. • They both are seen in a silver chariot. • Selene and I may seem like we have the same jobs and seem like the same person but we are two different goddesses.

  7. Zeus and Leto • My mother is the daughter of Coleus and Phoebe. • My mother was the goddess of childbirth and my father was the god of the sky. • She was a favorite lover of my father Zeus. • Zeus is the son of Cronus and Rhea.

  8. Accomplishments • Aided the Trojans in the Trojan War. • Rescued maidens. • I Striked down those who practiced misuse of power. • Illuminating the beautiful things at night. • I looked after all the animals and kept myself a virgin.

  9. Festivals • The Festival of Elaphebolia takes place on the 6th day of the new moon in late February to early March. • The Festival of Kharisteria takes place on the 6th day of the new moon in late August to early September.

  10. Myth • One night, a young hunter named Actaeon, saw Me and my nymphs in the woods. Actaeon was mesmerized watching Me bathe. I became very Furious! I dipped my hand in the pool and I threw water at Actaeon. When the water hit him he instantly turned into a stag and because he could not utter a human word, he was unable to call them off. I picked up My bow and went hunting with my Nymphs
