Resume. This is an 11 th grade Portfolio Requirement. All 12 th graders must have an updated resume for their Senior Exhibition. What is a Resume?. A well organized, one-page, typed presentation of information about yourself.

  1. Resume This is an 11th grade Portfolio Requirement. All 12th graders must have an updated resume for their Senior Exhibition.

  2. What is a Resume? • A well organized, one-page, typed presentation of information about yourself. • It is used for applying for jobs and in some cases when applying to colleges.

  3. Building a Resume The Naviance system has a “Resume Builder” that makes creating a Resume very easy! There are just 3 easy steps: Add Entries Rearrange the Contents in a format Save & print The program explains and gives examples of each entry.

  4. How to find the Resume Builder on Naviance • Log into the Naviance Program, from PHHS website - http://henry.sandi.net • On your welcome front page of Family Connections click on the tab “About Me”. Here

  5. Resume In the section “About Me” click on “Resume” Here

  6. Resume To “Build Your Resume” click on #1 “Add Entries”. Here

  7. Resume Begin with typing in an objective. The next slide will show an example.

  8. Resume Here is an example of an objective.

  9. Resume Next, a summary needs to be filled in. See examples below.

  10. Resume Students fill in any work experience they have had. See sample below.

  11. Resume The students continue filling in the topics on the pull-down menu. Pull-down menu Students can edit or delete entries here.

  12. Resume Students have a place to add references, too. See sample below.

  17. Warning! Resumes are to be based on yourself! No fictitious resumes!

  18. Resume I am a Senior and I completed a Resume as a Junior. Do I need to submit another one? Yes! All seniors must update their resume to present to the Exhibition Panel.

  19. Sharing your Resume at your Senior Exhibition! Option 1: You may show your Resume from the Naviance program. You would display this from a computer projecting the Log onto a pull-down screen in the classroom. Option 2: You may print your Resume and place it in your Exhibition Portfolio 3-ring binder for panel members to view.
