What is it? • A learning management system (LMS) offered free to Arkansas schools • Supports the exchange of digital media in a safe and secure social networking environment • Educators create custom classroom groups, invite students to share multimedia files, and post private comments to students about their work

  3. Who can use ADS? Any teacher or student enrolled in an Arkansas school Who is the provider? Arkansas Department of Education

  4. Why should I use ADS? • Incorporate 21st century learning in the classroom • Innovative way to keep the students’ interest • Easy and safe way to communicate with students

  5. How can I use ADS in my classroom? • Podcasts and vodcasts of lessons • Upload student activities • Provide training videos for teachers • Collaborate with other teachers • Student assignment submission • Actively engage learners

Just the Facts • Completely FREE!!! • No setup required by you or your techs • No equipment for hosting needed • All media is locked down • All student media must be approved before it will upload • Acceptable video formats--FLV, MPG, MOV, WMV, AVI, MP3, SWF,  MPEG-4, H.264, MTS, 3GP, DIVX, ASF, M4V, and MP4
