Unit Objectives

This training module focuses on identifying and managing critical conditions—referred to as "killers"—such as airway obstruction, excessive bleeding, and shock. Participants will learn effective techniques for opening airways, controlling bleeding, and treating shock. Additionally, trainees will conduct triage exercises under simulated disaster conditions to practice prioritizing care based on urgency. Participants will gain insights into the components of the respiratory system, understand triage classifications (Immediate, Delayed, Dead), and avoid common pitfalls in emergency response.
