Extinction • Was completely fearless of humans. • Since it was a flightless bird and not afraid of humans, it made it easy prey for humans. • When the humans first arrived, they brought cats, dogs, pigs, etc. • The animals destroyed the Dodo’s nests while the humans destroyed the forests where the birds had their nest. • But the pigs had a higher impact on the birds extinction than the hunting.
Habitat • Its habitat belonged to the island of Mauritius. • Mauritius is off the east coast of Madagascar.
