(Learning Targets)At the end of today’s session, you will be able to say… • I have gained a deeper understanding of my responsibility in regards to the Common Core State Standards for Literacy in History and Social Studies. • I am ready to focus on a specific reading cluster for the next 3 months and commit to applying specific strategies to that end. • I wish coffee and refreshments had been served.

GRADE LEVEL TEAMS • Come to consensus on a cluster to focus on for the next 3 months. • In teams, brainstorm strategies to teach the standards within the cluster • There are some resources on the table that might help • Select strategies you will commit to using. • Plan on sharing a lesson/activity you did that supported the teaching of the cluster (or standard within the cluster) on May 4th (our next full-day inservice. I know, this is a long time from now ).
