  2. Amazing frogs Most people think of frogs as green or brown, well that’s not true. Frogs can be many different colors and some have amazingly special adaptations. Here are a few.

  3. The tomato frog This is a tomato frog. It’s as red as ketchup to warn predators it is not safe to eat. It makes a substance that oozes out of its skin that gets in the predators eyes.

  4. Surinam Toad This unusual looking frog is the worlds flattest amphibian! It’s flat for a reason though, to hide among the trees and the debris in the Amazon. Even though they have an amazing reproductive strategy. Once the eggs are laid the male toad attaches the eggs to the female frogs back.

  5. Ornate horned frog This predator is know for its humongous appetite and because of that it is sometimes called the pac-man frog.

  6. Southern gastric-brooding frog This frog was found in 1972 in stony creeks. The female swallows her egg and she stops eating. A tadpole grows in her stomach and it crawls out. Sadly this frog is probably extinct since 1981.
