Apex Swim & Dive Team 2012-2013 Season Details

Welcome to the 2012-2013 Apex Swim & Dive Team! Practices begin on 10/31/12 at Cary YMCA, running Monday to Friday from 2:45-4pm. Attendance is mandatory for all team members as this is a varsity sport. Year-round swimmers must attend practice the day before meets, or else forfeit their chance to compete. All athletes must complete online forms, and try-outs are mandatory. Transportation for meets is limited; swimmers are responsible for their own rides regularly. For updates, follow our Twitter!   2. Practice: • Start Date is 10/31/12 • Location • Cary YMCA • Team Practices Monday - Friday • Time: • 2:45-4pm (2:45 means in the pool at this time)

  3. Practice Continued… • Practices are Mandatory!... This is a Varsity Sport! • Please make all appointements to work around practice if possible. • Year-round swimmers must attend at least the day before a meet!! • Otherwise go to your year-round practice • Failure to come to the practice the day before a meet will mean you do not compete in the meet the next day… still required to come to the meet though!! • If your not sick of course

  4. Schedule: • Online through team site!!! • Mark Dates Now!! • Try-outs: • everyone must try out • Year Round- must attend either Monday or Tuesday! • Non Year-Round- must attend all days! • Have your Physical & Concussion Form Done!!! (form is online)

  5. Try-outs continued… • At time trials everyone will be timed on the 50 free, 100 free and a 100 non-free your choice. • Forms: • All forms are online through the Team website. Please make sure you have them completed and turned into me (POD-K) • Rides • Transportation is only given at certain times… meets at Campbell University and the meet at Winston-Salem • All other times it is the responsibility of the swimmer/diver to provide transportation

Team Shirt • Get me your ideas… must be school appropriate (and must gain acceptance from me & Holt… and school administration) • BBQ Tickets • All current athletes (from last years team) must sell at least 5 tickets • Money/unsold tickets must be returned to me by Wednesday 9/12/12 • Lost/not handed in tickets you will be responsible to pay for • Money from sold tickets comes back to us!!
