This study investigates the splicing of Xbp-1 in LacZ WT islets treated overnight in low and high glucose conditions. Real-time RT-PCR was utilized to analyze the expression levels of Xbp-1 splicing, focusing on the effects of differing glucose concentrations on the processing of this critical gene in islet cells. The findings aim to enhance our understanding of glucose-induced stress responses and their implications for islet function in metabolic conditions.
