  5. Verify Email Address Once after submitting registration to ARC, Customer will receive the emailfor confirmation. Select the link provided in that email to verify. Note: It will take 3 working days to approve the request from Autodesk administrator.

  6. Downloading Software Go to ARC portal www.autodesk.com/academic login with username & password. Select the software & version 1

  7. Accessing Serial Number Once after selecting the software & Version, in the next webpage you can find “Serial Number” & “Product Key” Same thing will be send in your email.

  8. Obtaining System Information for License File to Activate Software. First you need to Note the Physical address & name of the Server to apply for the License File • Open the Command Prompt window by clicking on Start ➤ (All) Programs ➤ Accessories ➤ Command PromptNote: If you do not have access to the Command Prompt, please contact your IT department, or someone with administrative rights to your machine, to help you locate the information

  9. Type ipconfig/all and press the Enter key

  10. Your Host Name will appear at the top, under the section Windows IP Configuration. Your Physical Address will appear under the sectionEthernet adapter Local Area Connection.Note: Do not use the physical address for any Wireless or Bluetooth devices, as these are not valid and your Network license will not work.  If there is more than one physical Ethernet connection, it does not matter which one you use.

  11. Activation After granting Serial Number, Product Key & System Information Customer should get License File from ARC

  12. Request License File • After collecting the appropriate server information, you are ready to request a license from Autodesk. • Go to https://registeronce.autodesk.com. • If you have already registered your product, enter your Autodesk ID and Password and then click Login.  If you have not yet registered your product, you will need to Create an Autodesk ID

  13. Create User ID Login with new User ID

  14. Enter the System Information which you have obtained from Command Prompt. Enter the Product Serial Number which you have obtained from ARC Once after submitting the information, Customer will receive the License file. Which is a notepad file..

  15. Installation & Configuration of License FIle

  16. Run the exe file which is downloaded from ARC.

  17. Select Country or Region Accept the License Agreement

  18. Select These Tools to Install

  19. LMTOOLS Application will be available on the desktop Launch the application to configure the license.

  20. This file you can find at C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Network License Manager Access this folder, select lmgrd.exe & select open

  21. Copy the License file which is accessed from registration to the folder mentioned below C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Network License Manager Select that license file & select open

  22. Click on Browse, just type “debug” select open

  23. 2 1 Make sure to check both the option to start-up server Automatically

  25. 1 2 Here you can find the number of available licenses & in future can check number of license under use. (Sample text)

  26. Creating Deployment

  27. Create a new folder named “Autodesk Installer” on server. Right click on the folder select property & share the folder.

  28. Specify the exe file name Type your server Name with “\\” & select Browse to access the shared folder click Browse to select Administrative image path. Select the shared folder which you have create on server.

  29. Keep all the remaining settings default

  30. Type the Server name where you have configured the License file Type the Serial Number & Product which is obtained in ARC

  31. Check all the product which you want to Install on user computer to Deploy
