The Pentagon Papers • A study done by the Pentagon of presidential decision-making during the Vietnam War • Daniel Ellsberg contributed • The report would have embarrassed five presidents (Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon) • Exposed Johnson and Nixon as having lied to the American people

  4. 1969 Ellsberg copied these top secret documents
