Special Education Department Priority Areas of Focus for ’12-’13 • Maintain responsiveness to parent concerns • Examine different scheduling possibilities for Speech Language Pathologists • Complete development of long range Special Education District Plan • Increase understanding and development of SLO’s for special education teachers

  10. (Focus Continued) Instruct staff in new Safety Net options for earning of a Local Diploma Prepare staff for the elimination of the IEP diploma (7/1/13) and the new Skills and Achievement Commencement Credential (SACC)

  11. (Focus Continued) Instruct staff in the requirements for the new supplemental credential that will reflect the Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) standards that will replace the current IEP diploma
