Case Analysis of a 17-Year-Old Male with Controlled Generalized Tonic-Clonic Seizures

This case study presents a 17-year-old male who has experienced excellent control of his generalized tonic-clonic seizures through antiepileptic drugs for the past three years. Despite the effective management, an EEG examination revealed abnormal patterns consistent with generalized seizures, while a cranial CT scan returned normal results. This case underscores the importance of continuous monitoring and evaluation of seizure patients, as well as the potential discrepancies between clinical presentation and EEG findings.

  2. A 17 year-old male had an excellent antiepileptic drug control of his generalized tonic-clonic seizures for the past 3 years. Work up done showed an abnormal EEG patterns consistent with generalized type of seizures and a normal cranial CT scan.
