    2. Research the company - need to know what they do Be familiar with the job description Know your contact person and/or interviewer(s) Plan to dress business professional Be sure you know exactly where to go for your interview (i.e. location and parking) Take at least 3 copies of your resume the latest and greatest version on quality resume paper Be prepared to ask questions at the end of the interview as well Arrive 10-15 minutes early

Dress professionally and conservatively Wear a business suit or matching pants/skirt and top If you wear hose, be sure it matches your skin color Dont wear strong perfume Shoes, belt, and purse should all match Dont overdo it with jewelry and make-up Good colors to wear: black, navy, beige Red color of power

Its better to be overdressed than underdressed Wear a suit or sport coatnice tie, pressed slacks, polished shoes, matching socks Keep jewelry to a minimum Dont wear strong cologne Shoes and belt should match Clean shave, well groomed, clean cut Good colors to wear: black, navy, gray No plaids or bright, wild patterns

Expect interviewers to not only ask traditional questions, but also questions that are situational or behavioral-based Use concrete examples that can provide measurable information for the interviewer Put a positive spin on the negatives If you dont understand a question, ask for clarification Be direct and answer questions thoroughly and accurately Remember you cannot be asked personal questions, it may be illegal

    8. Tell us about yourself (skills/achievements). Tell us about a successful project you have worked on, and what did you learn? Tell us about a time that you faced a difficult situation and how you handled it (work environment). Name three of your strengthsand weaknesses. Sometimes it is necessary to work with rapidly changing priorities and job tasks. What has been your experience and what did you do? What type of work environment do you prefer? How do you think your former supervisor would describe you and your work?

    9. Give us a specific example of a time when you used good judgment and logic in solving a problem. Give us an example of a time when you set a goal and were able to meet or achieve it. Tell us about a time when you had too many things to do and you were required to prioritize your tasks. Tell us about a time you were able to successfully deal with another person even when that individual may not have personally liked you (or vise versa). Describe a situation in which you were able to use persuasion to successfully convince someone to see things your way. Tell us about a time when you had to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to get a job done.
