Triad Reading Groups and Home Prep for Conflict & Cooperation Analysis

Today, you will be assigned to triad reading groups for an analysis of conflict and cooperation. Begin by previewing a reading page I will provide. Each group will take turns reading paragraphs aloud and discussing the main ideas after each one. Complete a worksheet concerning the Vietnam War as your home prep. All class sets must be turned in before dismissal, and you can work independently or with classmates. Please ensure the sets are separated and returned to the front of the room by the end of the period.

  1. 2013 April 9 Bell Ringer Turn in your home prep. After the bell rings, I will assign you to triad reading groups. Until I assign you to a group, I would like you to pick up a reading page from the back of the room and preview the text. THIS IS A CLASS SET. Please do not write on it.

  4. Come see me when you are finished reading. Triad Reading Take turns reading one paragraph at a time. After each paragraph, discuss the main idea of the paragraph with your group.

  5. Conflict & Cooperation Analysis Please complete this worksheet in your group. So far, you only have the information to complete the Vietnam War boxes. When your group is ready to consider the next scenarios, please call me over. You will not need to triad read on the scenarios page, but it would probably help.

  6. Home PREP for Conflict & Cooperation Today’s final worksheet is your home prep for tonight. The class set has all the answers to the front page. Please try to get that much done before I dismiss you. You may work alone or with other students. I need all class sets separated and turned in to the front of the room before dismissal.
