Step 2: Take out your parent letter and raise your hand if you have it today Step 2: On a piece of notebook paper: Solve for x in the following four problems: 3x + 5 = 2060 = 3(x + 5)x2 – 9 = 0 Homework: (1) Get your supplies for this class (see p.2 of your syllabus). BINDER SETUP AND FIRST BINDER CHECK IS MONDAY!!!!! (2) Have parent/guardian fill out last page of syllabus and RETURN IT!

  15. Homework and Grading Policy Homework: • On time WITH ALL WORK SHOWN = Check Plus • On time with SOME WORK SHOWN = Check • Late with effort shown OR on time with NO WORK = Check minus • Not handed in = Zero

Homework and Grading Policy Weekly Quizzes • We will have try to have a quiz every week • You can retake any weekly quiz to improve your score by 50%. • Example: Get a 50, retake and get 100, your score will be a 75% • Retakes must be done outside of class or during designated class time. (see Mr. C’s schedule for available times).

Homework and Grading Policy Overall Grades are determined by: • Tests = 40% • Quizzes = 20% • Homework and ACT Question of the Day = 20% • Bell Ringers = 10% • Participation = 10% + • Big Goal Incentives = DIFFERENT BONUSES DEPENDING ON HOW YOU DO!!! *** New grades posted every Monday and online.

  18. Homework and Grading Policy Grading Scale: • 90 – 100%+ = A (90-93 = A –, 98-100+ = A+, same applies to B, C, and D) • 80 – 89 = B • 70 – 79 = C • 60 – 69 = D • < 60 = F
