A program similar to the Mississippi Scholars program, focusing on students who have completed a Career and Technical Program. Requirements include credits in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and electives, as well as other criteria such as attendance, test scores, community service, and GPA. Benefits include a medallion at graduation, seal on transcript and diploma, and partnering with local industries for potential higher pay scale.   1. George County High School Very similar to the Mississippi Scholars program that we now have. The only difference is that it focuses on students who have completed a Career and Technical Program.

Academic Course of Study Requirements: 4 Credits English 3 Credits Math - Algebra I - Math above Algebra I (Course has to be related to program of study) - Geometry 3 Credits Science – Biology I and 2 courses above Biology I 3 Credits Social Studies - American History, Government and MS Studies 1 Credit Computer ½ Credit Health or PE 2.5 Electives of your program of study 4 CTE Credits (2 year Completer in a CTE Program)

  3. Other Requirements • 95% Attendance during high school career. • 18 ACT or 36 ASVAB • 40 Hours of Community Service • 2.5 GPA • No out of school suspensions • Average Passing Score on CPAS/Certification

  4. Benefits Medallion at Graduation Seal on transcript and diploma Certificate Partnering with local industries -Moves your application to the front -Possible start on a higher pay scale

  6. Mississippi Scholars Tech Master must complete any remaining state-mandated high school graduation requirements. • Dual credit courses are acceptable.
