Empirical Formula1. Turn % by mass into grams by assuming a 100 g sample.2. Turn grams of each element into moles of the element by dividing by atomic mass.3. Divide the moles of each element by the smallest number of moles.4. Determine the empirical formula by multiplying each result by the appropriate integer.
