  1. Ludvig Age: 34 Education: BA in history (3 years), Bachelor of Social Work(3 years). Profession: Social Worker in the City of Albertslund, has held managing position for 4 years. Social status: divorced, 2 kids (Anders (3) and Caroline(7)) part time, lives in Ballerup. Exercise: Played soccer since teens, last 6 years on ’old boys’ team with friends, but the team has pretty much dissolved as family and career has taken over. Runs occasionally in woods near home or to work, but often feels too busy at work to take the time. Often bikes to work. Media: uses IT all the time, both work and private, also on the (smart)phone. Frequent Facebook user, and maintains MySpace page for Noise-heavy band ’Lack of Affordance’ – he’s old time friends with the drummer. Rarely listen to radio or watch TV.

Social status: Married to Birger (age 51, college teacher), 3 kids, age 17 – 24, all moved away from home, lives in Birkerød. Exercise: Played handball from age 12 – 25. Bikes to work. Does Pilates once a week (have ‘back problems’). Works mostly at a desk; “Feel like I should use my body more.” Media: uses IT at work (mostly company systems, intranet and email) and private (mostly email and ‘google’). Have facebook profile – visits about 2-3 times a week. Have plain mobile phone, uses SMS (texting) a lot. Listens to radio(P1+P2) and watch TV in the evenings.

  3. Kia Age: 21 Education: HF (College 2 years) Profession: Works part time in BR (toy store) in Amager part of Copenhagen. Has position as sales person (has held this for 1,5 years). Social status: Single, no kids. Lives alone in Amager. Has active social life with friends from school and work. Exercise: Has never played sports outside school. Tried to exercise (spinning) but stopped gradually – “I should exercise again, I feel like I'm getting to chubby”. Media: Uses IT mostly at home, Facebook and surfing a lot, news, email. Have plain mobile phone, uses SMS (texting) a lot. Turns on TV when she gets home, listen to radio (P3, commercial stations) often while the TV is on and she is using her laptop.
