Tully, Yale University, DMR 0520495 CRISP has developed modules called “Exploring Materials Science” Mobile Kits for use in both formal and informal educational settings. The goal is to increase the understanding, appreciation, and interest in materials science for K-12 students and members of the community. The kits are based on structure/property relationships and demonstrate how materials science is used in real-life applications and technologies. The “Exploring Materials Science” Mobile Kits were used at several of CRISP’s Education and Outreach events, including Classroom Visits, “Be a Materials Detective” Workshops, CPTV Family Science Expo, and The Discovery Museum. “Exploring Materials Science” Mobile Kits used at several of CRISP’s events Christine Broadbridge, Heather Edgecombe
