  2. Prostrate Prostrate is a adjective that means to be stretched out with their face on the ground in admiration or submission. Prostrate is used to describe how a person, or thing would be laying in a certain position. Worshiping or submitting are two synonyms for Prostrate. One example of Prostrate is: “the Buddhist was in a prostrate position, as he worshiped the statue of his god.” You could use the word Prostrate in your every day conversations like, when you are talking about religion you could say, “every time I see someone worshiping their god(s) they are in a prostrate position.”
