Ice Breaker: Whip out your phone. Pick two names out of your phone book and introduce yourself using 1-2 statements which each of those two people might use to introduce you. Share with at least 4 people around you.

General Overview The Kindergarten Readiness Screener provides a comprehensive overview of a child’s development in the following domains: • Language and Literacy • Mathematics • Social Emotional • Emergent and Early Writing Checklist
Purpose of the Screener To gather information about a child’s overall development and readiness for Kindergarten To help teachers target student needs and scaffold instruction To provide parents with useful information about their child’s skills and readiness to learn
Predictors of Success • Each item on the Kinder Readiness is an expected outcome or skill that represents expectations for the beginning of Kindergarten.
What is the process to administer the Kindergarten Readiness Screener?
