  1. A to Z Autobiography Night School Fall 2012

  2. Instructions: • Write one paragraph for each letter of the alphabet. • 12 pt. font • Single spaced • Skip a line between each letter.

  3. Example • A- is for alcohol, something my dad can’t get enough of. Ever since I can remember, my dad has preferred a bottle of the dark, caramel colored liquid, more than spending time with his family. Alcohol makes my dad mean. That is why my parents split when I was seven. I don’t see my dad very much.

  4. Example • B- is for Boston. My grandmother lives in Boston. I used love it there. We would go to baseball games, enjoy the city, and have a great time when visiting grandma. My uncle put her in a home last year; I’m not sure if I ever want to visit again.

  5. Example • C- is for circus. Going to the circus is the first memory that I have. I went with my mom and my cousins. I ate cotton candy for the first time and I got in trouble for getting it stuck in my hair. I got to pet an elephant. I’ve wanted one as a pet ever since.

  6. Example • D- is for doormat, which is a word that I use to describe myself. Ever since I can remember, I’ve let people take advantage of me. I have trouble saying no. I loan them money, let them borrow things I know I will never get back, and let them copy my homework. Hopefully one day I will have a backbone.

  7. Example • E- is for exciting, which is something that my life is not. I am really looking forward to going to college, because maybe then my life will become more exciting. I want to live away from my parents, meet new people, and learn something new. Hopefully my life will be “exciting” when I start college in August.

  8. Example • F- is for French fries. When I was six, I was helping my sister fry French fries, when the oil exploded and burned my arm. I got a really nasty burn and now I have a really nasty scar. Since that day, my family doesn’t fry anything at home. Since French frying is kind of lame, sometime s I lie about where my scare came from.

  9. Example • G- is for Griffin. Griffin is my golden retriever. He is three years old and is the love of my life. I can’t wait for school to get out each day so I can go home to see him. He’s my best friend because he’s a good listener, he never judges me, and he follows me everywhere. He’s the first dog I’ve ever had. I can’t imagine life without him!

  10. Example • H is for Honduras, a place I’d like to travel. After senior year, I’m not going straight to college. I plan on traveling around the world. I’ve been saving money for 2 years and Honduras is on my list of places to travel. I’d like to be life-long traveler, maybe even find a job involving lots of travel. I love learning about other cultures. I hope to get a new set of luggage for a graduation gift. I’m currently saving up to get my passport!
