Summer Camp for Roma Children in Bulgaria – Join Us to Make a Difference!

Join the Lora Foundation this summer in the beautiful Boboshevo Mountains, Bulgaria, as we welcome approximately 50 Roma children (ages 5-15) for a memorable camp experience. A dedicated team of 20 international volunteers will lead activities including Bible stories, sports, music, and arts and crafts. Volunteers will spend about two weeks fundraising, setting up, and running the camp, creating a joyful and impactful experience for these children. Dive into the vibrant culture of Bulgaria while making a difference!

  3. “The Lora Foundation seeks to better the lives of the destitute children of Bulgaria…” http://lorafoundation.co.za/ The Lora Foundation • The summer camp is attended by approx. 50 children ( ages 5-15 years). • A team of around 20 international volunteers help run the camp. • DARE send around 6/7 volunteers. • OUR JOB • Fundraise – no less than £250. • Set up camp 2/3 days before children come. • Run the camp for a week. • Close the camp 2/3 days after the children leave. • (In total, volunteering for about two weeks.)

  4. Teach Bible stories. • Sports. • Music. • Arts and crafts. • Evening program – e.g. ladies’ night, international night, disco. Camp Activities

  5. End of July – start of August. • €275 for the camp (TBC). • Flights to Bulgaria with EasyJet and booked well in advance are cheap – under £200. • Hostel Mostel£10 per night. • Spending money £200. • £60 deposit to DARE. Times and Prices

  6. Explore the rest of Bulgaria (Black Sea, Sofia etc.) • Eastern Europe. • Turkey. Travelling Opportunities
