  1. สภาสหพันธ์(Federal Council) ประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 166 คน แต่งตั้งมาจากผู้นำของหน่วยการปกครอง 83 หน่วยคือ - ผู้นำฝ่ายบริหาร (หน่วยการปกครองละ 1คน) - ผู้นำฝ่ายตุลาการ (หน่วยการปกครองละ 1คน) ประธานสภาคนปัจจุบัน บอริส มิฮาโลวิช มีโรนอฟ Sergey Mikhalovich Mironov พรรคการเมืองที่สำคัญ สหรัสเซีย (United Russia) ได้คะแนน 64.3% มี 315ที่นั่ง เสรีประชาธิปไตย (LDPR) ได้คะแนน 8.1% มี 40ที่นั่ง สภาดูม่า (State Duma) ประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 450 คน มาจากการเลือกตั้ง 2 แบบ - แบ่งเขต (popular vote) 225 คน - บัญชีรายชื่อ (party list) 225 คน ประธานสภาคนปัจจุบัน บอริส เวียเชสลาวิช กรึสลอฟ Boris Vyacheslavich Gryzlov คอมมิวนิสต์ (CPRF) ได้คะแนน 11.5% มี 57 ที่นั่ง ธรรมรัสเซีย (Just Russia) ได้คะแนน 7.7% มี 38ที่นั่ง รัฐสภาสหพันธรัฐรัสเซียFederal Assembly of the Russian Federationเป็นระบบสองสภาประกอบด้วย
