  1. Effort Reporting Updates, Deadlines, and Open Lab Sessions Commitment Accounting/Effort Reporting Users Group Meeting January 23, 2014

  2. Effort System Fixes in Production! • If you have an AEF record that is “split”, we can now correct that. Notify our office you have that situation and deny the effort report back Cost Analysis. We will correct the issue and return to you.

  3. Effort System Fixes in Production! • After the FAR was finalized, commitments would update a finalized record and create an out of balance on that report. This has been disconnected and will not occur.

  4. Effort System Fixes in Production! • Negative amounts • If the negative amount on the A-21 screen is due to a payroll that was retro’d to the wrong pay earnings date or a carryover from a previous term, we can now correct that. Deny the report back to Cost Analysis.

  5. Effort System Fixes in Production! • 214 Fund Projects • If you have an individual that is paid from a 214 project and the PI or Project Description is not pulling in, contact our office to add that project to the data table. • If you want to add the 214 project to a FAR, again contact our office and we will add to the data table so that you can add to the FAR.

  6. Effort System Fixes in Production! • Reports • All reports have been reviewed and updated in the Enterprise Reporting Area • IFAS departments – requested that comments be added to see what was typed in the bubbles for FARs, this report is now in production for your use.

  7. Reminder! • Any outstanding effort that still remain is now considered past due. • If you need assistance contact us and we will be happy to work with you to get it resolved, effort@admin.ufl.edu
