  1. Is a 350 Turbo transmission good? Beginning in 1969, the 350 Turbo transmission was released. This was a three-speed automatic transmission that Chevrolet and Buick had jointly developed. Even though they were both parts of General Motors, at the time, they operated independently, but presently the powertrain developers at GM exclusively work for GM, not Chevrolet nor Buick. The GM Powerglide auto gearbox, a 2-speed auto gearbox that was in production for over 23 years, was replaced by this transmission. Throughout its lifespan, the 350 Turbo transmission, also known as the TH350, was utilised in almost all GM rear-wheel drive automobile and truck applications. This gearbox was utilised in a number of vehicles, including the Nova, Caprice, Chevelle, Corvette, and Blazer.

  2. In order to replace the 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, the TH350 was released in 1969. The Powerglide was entirely phased out in 1973, but the phase-in process started in 1969. After roughly 15 years in production, the 700R4 completely superseded this gearbox in 1984. The torque converter's capacity to lock up was also added, and a TH350-C model was released in 1979. Is a 350 Turbo transmission good? Depending on the application, this transmission's maximum torque handling capacity changed. The gearbox would be changed to manage the extra torque generated by the bigger engines' transmissions. The engine with the greatest torque while this gearbox was used had 410 lb-ft of torque. This automatic transmission is longitudinally positioned. Thus, it may be used with vehicles with rear-wheel drive. There was no overdrive gear available. Thus, this transmission only has three speeds. This gearbox had gear ratios of 2.52 for first gear, 1.52 for second gear, & 1.0 for third gear.
