Political and religious views The political debate is whether to allow scientists to extract stem cells from surplus, unneeded, frozen embryos left over from in-vitro fertilization procedures in fertility clinics Conservative Christian groups opposed Bush's decision because of the fine line between used descendents of already-extracted stem cells, and killing of new embryos.

  10. Stem cell research allows scientist to reproduce body organs and tissue replacing damaged or missing nerves or cells. Funding is needed to support research and testing in labs

  11. In September 2000President George Bush denies funds for any form of stem cell research Bush changes his mind in August 2001 allowing funding but only to old embryos

  12. In February 2008 researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine in California saved multiple lab rats which had suffered a stroke medical stem cell rebuilding can save lives cure people from certain disease and handicaps

  13. There is so much to be learned and not enough support.scientist have only touched on the surface of stem cell research.
