  3. Calcaneus • The calcanues can be also known as the heel bone.

  4. Patella • The patella can also be called or is known as the knee cap. • The patella rides on the knee bones when our knees bend.

  5. Ilium • The Ilium is made up of bone marrow. • The Illium serves as the attachment site for the lateral muscles of the abdominal wall.

  6. Femur • The femur is a long bone whose axis of movement is well outside of its substance for most of its length.

  7. Tibia • The tibia is in the lower leg. • The tibia helps support the body weight.

  8. Humerus • The humerus can be also be known as the funny bone. • The humerus is a long bone with one upper joint and two lower joints.

  9. Radius • The radius can be found below your elbow next to the ulna.

  10. Ulna • The ulna is the longer of the two bones in the forearm; the other bone being the radius. • The lower end of the ulna is rounded and forms a joint with the wrist bones and lower end of the radius.

  11. Fibula • The fibula is both in the inner and narrower of the two bones of the human lower leg extending from the knee to the ankle. • The fibula is on the lateral side of the tibia. • Can also be called the calf bone.

  12. Phalanges • The phalanges are the finger bones. All your fingers are made up of three phalanges except the thumb which has two phalanges. • Phalanges can also be found in your feet.

  13. Cranium (frontal) • The cranium or frontal has another name the skull. • The cranium is made up of two parts. • The vertical portion, corresponding with the forehead and secondly the horizontal or orbital portion which enters the formations of the roofs and nasal cavities.

  14. Sacrum • The sacrum, or sacral spine is a part of the lower spine. • The sacrum's function is to stabilize the body pelvis. • There are no muscles that cross the sacrum.

  15. Mandible • The mandible is also known as the jaw. • The mandible is u shaped. • The mandible helps in the process of chewing our food into bits of pieces to swallow.

  16. Scapula • The scapula can be called the shoulder blade. • Triangular shape. • The scapula is the bone that connects the humerus with the clavicle.

  17. Axis • The axis is the second cervical vertebra of the spine. • The axis forms the pivot upon the first cervical (atlas).

  18. Atlas • The atlas is the topmost first cervical vertebra if the spine. • The atlas forms the joint connecting the skull (cranium) and spine.

  19. Clavicle • The clavicle is also known as the collar bone. • The clavicle is a long bone that makes up most of the shoulder. • Double curved bone.

  20. Fun interesting stuff!!! • On average an adult has 206 bones. • You have 26 bones in your foot, and 27 in your hands. • The femur is the longest bone in the body. • A baby has 300 bones when they are bone, while growing up the bones fuse together.
