  3. Company Mission O/O the company mobilizes, deploys, and executes mobility, countermobility, survivability tasks, and provides support to general engineering missions ISO Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) and Support Brigades ISO both Federal and State missions.

  4. Commander’s Intent for TY12 • Increase proficiency in all aspects of demolitions • Primarily focus on combat engineering tasks and conduct familiarization training on Route Clearance missions when able • Once sourced and a clear mission is defined; the Company will focus on stated mission

  8. Key Training Events (cont.) 251st: Exercise Maple Defender, Alberta, Canada (Sapper Exercise, Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada is the alternate plan if Maple Defender is non-conduct). The intent is to train as a traditional Sapper company with similar units in a multinational exercise. At the end of the exercise, the unit is trained to a “T” in five of five FSO-METL tasks and trained to a GO in most AWT/BDs. Conditions will approximate the COE in threat but not necessarily in terrain (Alberta/New Brunswick is not SWA). Feedback will be generated internally and provided by exercise staff. Resources required include air transportation, equipment to be borrowed from tenant units, CSSVSAT and other communications equipment, and funding to secure Canadian mess, portable latrines, and billeting (if applicable). Additional tasks still to be developed by the 251st include ADVON plan, equipment shipment plan, recovery plan, training objectives, coordination with Maple Defender/ Gagetown, etc. Collective tasks to be trained include: Create a Lane through an Obst w/Explosive Techniques (05-3-1000) Disable Lines of Communication (LOC) with Explosives (05-3-0202) Perform an Engineer Reconnaissance (05-2-0407) Conduct Troop Leading Procedures (07-2-5081) Conduct Action on Contact (07-3-9013)

  9. Training Plan for Soldiers’ Individual Tasks • Individual training priorities are, in order: MOSQ, NCOES/OES, AT, and additional duty training. • Technical individual tasks: 251st incorporates technical individual tasks that supports the company METL. Platoon Leadership conducts written assessment of technical proficiency.

  10. Low-Density MOS Training • Each section develops training plan for the year in order to continue to maintain proficiency. • Low-Density training plans support Company METL.
