  3. Introductions • New Members? • Take 3 minutes and introduce yourself to those around you

  4. Becoming A Member at Large • Be active within your committee • Come to 3 General Assembly meetings this semester • Participate in Events • Announced at the end of semester!

  5. Committee Updates • NAESC • Academic • Documentation • E-Day • E-Week • Internal

  6. NAESC Conference Dinner on Friday Night Discussion of Topics such as E-Week, Career Fairs, Member Retention, Documentation Great chance to meet with other councils and learn how they run there councils

  7. Academic Committee • SYNC Survey • Separate surveys for freshman and for upperclassmen • Purpose is to gain insight into student’s opinions of classes and curriculum in order to report to the engineering faculty • Dinner with the Dean

  8. Documentation Committee • Created universal event planning document • Began to separate files in the E-Council directory by usability • Found duplicate copies of former websites • Found old meeting minutes, forms, and pictures

  9. E-Day • Happened September 28th • Over 100 attendees for panels and interviews • Awesome feedback from corporate representatives • Looking to expand the event in the future

  10. E-Week Committee • Theme of COMPETITION • Weeklong Competition • Increasing interaction of corporate representatives • Focus of ethics for engineers • Looking to create an E-Council Team!

  11. Internal Events Committee Tailgate October 1st Unfortunate lost for NC State Looking for future events Go Pack!

  12. Finance Subcommittee • Responsible for reviewing submitted budgets along with treasurer • Meeting requirement October 17th8:00pm • Talk to Emily after this meeting

  13. Engineering Career Fair • Huge Success • Happened October 4th and 5th • 5060 Job Seekers • 314 Companies

  14. Upcoming Events • NAESC Regional Conference 10/14-10/16 • Appropriations 10/17-10/20 • Committee Meeting 10/24 • Next General Assembly 11/7 • SYNC Surveys Coming Out (Early November) • Look for an E-Council Participation Survey coming out soon!
