DailySummary • LHC: • Fill in the morningascontinuation of the one in the night, lostwhen TOTEM moved in • Thenproblems in the LINAC and PS • Then, twophysicsfills back to back (3287 and 3288, ongoing) • Fill3287 dumped by operator again, machine isrunningverystably • Interfill time of about 2.5 hours (from SB to SB) • LHCb: • Took data efficientlyduring the last part of fill 3286, no problems • Startedtaking data in fill 3287, butataround 8pm the AUG in the control room wasaccidentallyswitched off and welostpower in the surface • Problem with restarting the power, so the UPS ran out of batteries and full powerwascut in surface • Weloststorage, disks, control pcs and basically the whole network • Werecoveredeverything and tookdata from 2.50am onwardsagain • Moved VELO out with interlock box buttonafterwerealizedwewere in for a long recovery • Run 132301 was set to LOCAL, first half an hour isgood data… • - Takingdata efficientlyduringfill 3287, no problems Federico Alessio

DailySummary (@9 am) Lost power • Maincomments: • weshouldhave a way to restartpowereasily, in an accessible way and with clearinstructions • the UPS batteriescould last longer • 10 minutes wouldhavebeenenough, just to allowdriving to the pit, as fast aswe can • can we put a small plexiglass panel in front of the AUGsthat can be broken or opened? • the AUGs are at the sameheight and position as the light buttons! (ithappenedbefore..) • VELO hadtroublesrecovering from the hard interlock, HV/LV wereconfused and took a while to restartitafterwerecovered the rest • Thanks to Rainer, Enrico, Christophand Clara whocame in to help usrestart the wholesystemuntildeep night! In conclusionweevenhadfun, especiallywhenwerealizedthat the runhasbeengoing on for about 5 hours deferringeverything… (but with VELO open and its HV/LV off…). TMUC and MUONC problem Federico Alessio
