  1. Information for candidates Ruth Holdaway, CEO WSFF’s Strategy Refresh

  2. Explanation • WSFF is making decisions about a new strategy • This is a work in progress • This is the new Vision, Mission and Values, agreed by Trustees and driving WSFF’s work. • The next steps will be for us to work up the detail of a strategy

  3. Our vision is To transform sport for the benefit of every woman and girl in the UK

  4. How will we achieve this? Our Mission By drawing on our unique insight we will champion the right of every woman and girl in the UK to take part in, and benefit from, sport: from the field of play to the boardroom, from early years and throughout her life

  5. Our Values: Fairness: We believe in equal opportunities for women and girls, not only in sport, but in Society as a whole. Where these do not exist, we are committed to championing change. We go the extra mile to ensure everyone has a fair chance to enjoy the benefits and potential of sport.

  6. Challenging We do not accept the current sporting environment with its limited opportunities for women and girls. With a passion for progress, we will challenge the norms and current attitudes, and demand changes in the way sport is run.

  7. Insight-Led Insight and evidence drive everything we do. We research our subjects rigorously to build expertise and develop the highest quality information. By insisting on innovative thinking, we ensure we are always thought-leaders for women and girls in sport

  8. . Collaborative We understand the specific and unique role we play in working to achieve our ambitious vision, but we cannot achieve it alone. So, where appropriate, we work in partnership with like-minded people to transform sport for women and girls.

  9. Next Steps • The Vision will be delivered via a number of Strategic Objectives or Critical Success Factors, with associated Impact Measures. • We will devise a business plan to achieve the Strategic Objectives/Critical Success Factors –the plan will also contain Key Performance Indicators • Progress on the above will be presented to the Board of Trustees in May 2014 • We are also reviewing our brand identity in light of the strategy refresh – initial ideas will be presented to the Board of Trustees in May 2014

  10. We hope this is useful information to help you make a decision to apply for a role at WSFF – we look forward to receiving your application
