  2. OBJECTIVE The objective of the study was to evaluate how Gustor Liquid improves the microbial quality of water with different hardnesses infected with E Coli.

  3. MATERIAL AND METHODS • Products: • GUSTOR Liquid Dosage: 2 kg/1.000 liters • Strain: Escherichia Coli ATCC 35218 • Initial contamination: 10 5 UFC/g • Water Hardness: • Soft water (37.5 mg CaCo3/l) • Medium water (112.5 mg CaCO3/l) • Hard water (225 mg CaCO3/l) • Very Hard (337.5 mg CaCO3/l)

  4. RESULTS • GUSTOR LIQUID • removed 100% E Coli contamination • In soft water after 1 hour of application • In medium water after 2 hours of application • reduced by more than 99% the E Coli contamination • In hard water after 90 minutes • In very hard water after 4 hours • reducedby more than 80% the E. Coli contamination • In soft, medium and hard water after 30 min

  5. CONCLUSIONS • The bactericide effect of GUSTOR LIQUID is depending of hardness of water and contact time. • GUSTOR LIQUID • has bactericide effect vs E Coli in less time for soft water than medium water. • reduced E Coli contamination in less time for hard water than very hard water.
