1.1 Something or Nothing Key Concept The question of why there is something rather than nothing requires more than a scientific answer.
1.1 Something or Nothing John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
1.2 Cause and Effect Key Concept The universe around us is filled with a stunning order that implies a first cause.
1.2 Cause and Effect Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made.
1.3 Reason and Order Key Concept The more we understand of both science and the universe around us, the more reasonable we discover the explanation of a God who made it all this way.
1.3 Reason and Order Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
1.4 Origin and Evidence Key Concept God has put enough into this world to make faith a most reasonable thing and God has left enough out to make it impossible to live by sheer reason alone.
1.4 Origin and Evidence Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
