  2. Causes • Yugoslavia was divided into several countries. • The Serbian government in Srebrenica wanted Bosnians out of areas in which they had a majority of the population.

  3. Ethnic Cleansing • 200,000 people were killed • 12,000 of which where children • 50,000 women were raped • 2.2 million people where forced to leave their homes

  5. Results • In February of 2007 the International Court of Justice decided that this constituted as an act of genocide. • The House of Representatives and senate declared a resolution for the people killed in the Bosnian genocide.
