Guide for Selecting Valid Outcomes and Indicators for Extension Programs

This document provides instructions for selecting appropriate outcomes, indicators, and impacts when revising the menus for Extension Programs in line with the 2007 ROA and 2008 Plan of Work. The revisions unintentionally displayed outdated outcomes and impacts. To avoid error messages, follow the outlined steps to add valid outcomes and indicators. Select from the top drop-down menu for outcomes and the bottom menu for indicators. The same applies for impacts. Ensure you choose current entries to maintain accuracy in your program evaluations.

  1. Selecting Outcomes/Indicators and Impacts for Extension Programs in the 2007 ROA and 2008 Plan of Work Revisions to the menus for Outcomes and Impacts had the unintended consequence of displaying the old (invalid) outcomes and impacts in the Unifas menus. To avoid getting an error message, follow the instructions in this document.

  2. Select Add Outcome/Indicator

  3. Outcomes are in the top drop down menu Indicators are in the bottom drop down menu Select one of each

  4. Add the year and click on the Save button

  5. If no Indicator is available for a selected Outcome, then you must select a different outcome Note: current Outcomes are at the top of the list in the drop down menu; older, invalid outcomes are listed last

  6. To add an Impact, select Add Impact/Type-Unit

  7. Impacts are in the top drop down menu Type-Units are in the bottom drop down menu Select one of each

  8. Add the year and click on the Save button

  9. If no Type-Unit is available for a selected Impact, then you must select a different impact Note: current Impacts are at the top of the list in the drop down menu; older, invalid impacts are listed last
