  2. AMBL field trip and workshop • Dr. Joanne Fox will lead field trip to AMBL for 30 interested iGEM students • Prospective date is Friday, May 14. • iGEM workshop for learning Biobrick cloning and other basic molecular biology skills • Format and details?

  3. iGEM competition team • How many interested students as of today? • How many of those could work without pay? • If too many people interested, how do we decide who gets to compete? • Grades? • Major/experience? • Active in meetings and journal club? • Deadline: March 15 to ubcigem@gmail.com

  4. Choosing a project • Project proposals due Monday, March 1 • Format to be determined • Oral presentations for proposed projects on March 3, WED during Journal club • Journal club during…break…will be office hours to prepare project proposals

  5. FUNDING • We asked for 1/3 of the money from TELF this year compared to last year • We have finding in place from CHBE, BC Transplant, others, but still need to raise ~$25,000 to fully fund everyone • Fundraising needs to be aggressive and ongoing starting now and ending November!

  6. Sponsorship levels Sponsorship packet is available to those who need it to communicate with possible sponsors
