  2. About Saka region • The Saka region was founded in late 2004 with the unification of the civil parish Saka and the town Pavilosta. • In nowadays there are living approximately 2000 people. • Distance from capital city Riga – 210km • There are a lot of places for new businesses.

About Pavilosta • Pavilosta is located between two big cities- Liepaja and Ventspils. • Fishery is a very important part of the city’s life which makes the town alive. • Pavilosta beach is meant for a great relax and rest. • Sailors and windsurfers have been attracted by Pavilosta beach. • Pavilosta is unique with its territory and the planning of the town. • Pavilosta is the place where you can meet romantic, fisherman, sun, exotic food every day.

About port of Pavilosta • Located in the East of Baltic seacoast and on mouth of river Saka; • Territory of the port is 7,5 ha land and 6,3 ha of waterways; • First parallel quaysides were built in 1876, in 1891 - extended; from 1924 until 1930 – reconstructed; • North quayside length is 287m, South quayside is 297,5m; • Planned and exploited for fish boats, small cargo ships and yacht services; • Depth of the entrance of the port is subjected to notable changes, because of sand; • Private and municipality yacht ports.
