Organization Update • ConnectVirginia as a contract activity with VDH ends on February 7, 2014 • A Virginia non-stock, non-member corporation is being established; ConnectVirginia HIE, Inc. • Designed to operate as a not-for-profit corporation • It will seek tax exemption as a 501(c)(3) • Governed by a 13 member Board of Directors • Includes the Secretary of Health and the State Health Commissioner • Remaining Directors will reflect a cross section of stakeholders • Stakeholder engagement through select Advisory Boards
