  3. Vocabulary • Parched • Ex. The parched traveler searched everywhere for a drop of water. • BONUS • Name a synonym for parched. • Name an antonym for parched. • Why do you use “an” as the article for “antonym”?

The weeds grew darker green to protect themselves, and they did not spread anymore.
