Training Opportunities • SLHS has determined that all users of any Epic application implemented within St. Luke’s Health System will be required to complete formal, training and pass a proficiency examination • Training will be provided by Certified and Credentialed Trainers • Course assignments are based on the unique role of the employee • Users of the myStLuke’s application include, but are not limited to: • Physicians • Students • Contracted Staff • RNs, LPNs, MAs • Unit Clerks, Charge Nurses • In-Patient Registrars • Ambulatory Front Desk staff (Scheduling, Registration, Co-Pay collection) • Hospital Outpatient Departments • Revenue Cycle Staff (Claims, Billing, Insurance Follow-Up, Customer Service) • Managers, Supervisors

  4. myStLuke’s Medical Students, Clinical Pharmacist Students Not in ACC, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational and Physical Therapy Students- Pre-Classroom Online Modules - Ambulatory • myStLuke’s online modules are accessed through the St. Luke’s Learning Management System, SumTotal • Prior to attending classroom training all Medical, Non-ACC Clinical Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy students will complete the following online modules: • E-Learning: GEN001 E-Learning Tutorial • E-Learning: GEN005 Overview of Hyperspace for Clinical Applications • E-Learning: AMB001 Office Visit Demonstration • E-Learning: CLN005 Reviewing Past Visits and Results • E-Learning: AMB006 Placing Orders • E-Learning: AMB029 Facility-Administered Medications • E-Learning: AMB050 Surescripts - Payer • E-Learning: AMB055 Surescripts – Retail • E-Learning: MYC001 Overview of MyChart Patient Portal • E-Learning: MYC003 Activating Patients for MyChart

  9. myStLuke’s Student Exam • The myStLuke’s Proficiency Exam for Students: • Will be required for all Students requesting access to myStLuke’s Epic • Will be a 30 minute exam • Will require a passing minimum score of 85% • Will be open book/open system • Will be available through the St. Luke’s Learning Management System, SumTotal

  10. myStLuke’s Access for Medical Students • Students will have most of the same functionality that non-students have • Example: • Medical Students, Clinical Pharmacist Students not in Anticoagulation clinics, Nurse Practitioner Students, Occupational and Physical Therapy Students will: • Have orders signed by the supervising physician or Nurse Practitioner • Have progress notes co-signed by supervising physician • Not have access to In-Basket • Nursing Students, Clinical Pharmacist Students in Anticoagulation clinics and Medical Assistant Students will: • View lab and imaging results • Record Registration and scheduling information • Enter vitals, prescription refills and telephone messages • Not have access to In-Basket

  11. myStLuke’s Student Training Schedule • Medical, Clinical Pharmacist not in ACC, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational and Physical Therapy Student training: • Will occur every Monday • Nursing, Clinical Pharmacist in ACC and Medical Assistant Student training: • Will occur monthly based on the rotation schedule established by St. Luke’s Student Services. • All myStLuke’s Student training: • Currently will be scheduled in: • Treasure Valley • Wood River Valley • Based on the current Medical Student rotation schedule, initial myStLuke’s Medical Student and other student training will begin as part of the Wave 3 training cycle • The Wave 3 training cycle schedule begins between 7/9/12 and 7/16/12.
