  2. Background Information on the JETS • The Jets colors are Green and White but they also have an old Titan’s throwback uniform from the AFL that is blue and gold. The Jets play in Meadowlands stadium in New Jersey, however they previously played in Shea Stadium. The team has been in existence since 1960 and won its first superbowl in 1969 recording the arguably greatest upset in sports history against the Baltimore Colts. The Jets record last season was 11-7 nearly making it to the superbowl. The Jets play in the AFC East division in the AFC along with the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.

  5. Ray Lucas Ray Lucas has a passer rating of 74.3 and has thrown 18 touchdown passes over 8 games with the Jets. He also passed for 3,029 yards on 483 attempts. Age: 38 Experience: 8 Seasons 1996-2003 1997-2000 with the Jets Position: Quarterback Ray Lucas played for the Jets until 2000 when his injuries took a toll on his performance. Lucas’ career took off in 1999 when VinnyTestaverde ruptured his achilles tendon putting him out for the season. Lucas stepped up for the Jets delivering 6 wins and only 2 losses after Head Coach Parcells tried other QBs before Lucas. Lucas led the Jets to a divisional sweep of their rivals the Miami Dolphins and three playoff winning team wins along the way to an 8-8 season.

  6. Curtis Martin Position: HB Age: 37 Experience: 10 Seasons Curtis Martin is the fourth all time leading rusher in the NFL with 14,101 rushing yards. Him alone has had one of the biggest impacts on the franchise since Joe Namath. Curtis Martin averaged an impressive 4.0 yards per carry and recorded 14,101 rushing yards. Martin has scored 90 rushing touchdowns along with 3,000 receiving yards.
