  8. Comments: • “On a scale from 1 to 10 I give out a 20! This is our third child so third college orientation and this was by far the best.” • “Nowhere prior to my arrival to orientation was I informed that a) parents would have a separate schedule from their child, and b) parents were not allowed to be present when their child met with their academic advisor on day 1 and registered for classes 2” • “I think the Loyola's first luncheon was one of the most beneficial parts of the orientation. As a Loyola first parent I was put at ease by having my questions answered in a much smaller group setting. I was able to get most of my questions answered.” • “Aimee will be our 5th attending college - 1st at Loyola. By far, LU very organized...” • “Very impressive feel of hospitality and willingness to support both students and parents from student leaders and faculty at orientation. They were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and made the experience so nice and the campus very welcoming!” • “The Student Leaders were excellent in welcoming the parents and incoming students. People were extremely informative/ helpful. • A TV in the room or in a gathering room would have been nice.” • “Meals on the first day I think should be more like the meals on the second day. The first day is longer and being able to have more than just a little sandwich halve( with not much choice either) didn't make sense to me.” • “The parent reception exceeded my expectations” • “Sooooappreciated the fact I could get a gluten free lunch in your cafeteria.” • “The parent buffet at the end of the evening was outstanding. the picnic theme was clever.” • “The dorm was cold. I had to use a towel to put on top of the blanket because it was so chilly. There were no lights in the bed area of the dorm. I wasn't going to sit in the bathroom to read.   15. Comments: • “The advisors have been very helpful on all levels. My daughter had issues during registration, which were later adjusted as advised by her counselor. They always guided us in the right path.” • “Good school. Proud to send her. Better understanding of the meaning of Jesuit. Very informative sessions. I felt the staff at Loyola were looking out for the students both academically but also socially, spiritually, and emotionally” “The advisor who spoke on Developing the Whole Person was FABULOUS!! I feel that our daughter will be understood and cared for!” “I was unprepared for the emotional impact the "transition to college" session had on me, but the session touched on so many things I had been thinking and feeling. I think that will really help me to prepare to leave my child at college in August.” “After attending I felt much better about everything! My daughter is the first to go away to school and I was lost in the process of it all. But after this weekend I am now VERY CONFIDENT sending my daughter to Loyola.” Results: Mission & Value

But we were even more impressed with the students and staff that we met. Without fail, they were helpful, intelligent, kind, and funny. It just re-confirmed our positive feelings for LUC.” “The technology session was very good; the session regarding parent child separation was powerful; the panel discussion with the service/resources was extremely helpful and made a strong impression on how much the University does care for the students.” “Safety..every parent is worried about safety. I really enjoyed the lady speaker talking about real life at the campus and what to expect. All of the break out sessions were fantastic.
