  2. The Eiffel Tower is a beautiful masterpiece, originally created as a gift for the 100thanniversary of the French Revolution. The Eiffel Tower is made of 2.5 million rivets, 15,000 pieces of iron, and 40 tons of paint. It took 2 years to build, 1887-1889

  3. The Eiffel Tower had about 700 entries on what it should have looked like, there were a lot of designs people liked, but it came down to the design you see today. The Eiffel Tower is located in Paris, France. The Eiffel Tower is named after Gustav Eiffel, who was the designer.

  4. Today, the Eiffel Tower is used for a radio tower, and mainly, a tourist attraction! The Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument in the world. Since it’s opening, the Eiffel Tower has had about 250 million visitors.

  5. In 2012 the Eiffel Tower will be 123 years old. The Eiffel Tower has 1665 steps, and from the top, you can see 37 miles away. After the 20 year lease for the Eiffel Tower, people wanted to demolish it and use it for scrap metal.
