This study investigates the role of the laeA gene in A. niger by analyzing the laeA disruptant strain. The strains were characterized using ScaI probe techniques and were found to have varying stability across different constructs (pSAK-Dislae01 and others). The impact of the laeA disruptant on hygromycin resistance was assessed through various integrations and comparisons with the parent strain. Results provide insights into the gene's functional role in fungal development and potential applications in biotechnological processes.
